Hi Big Brain fam,
Happy Tuesday! I hit my ChatGPT hourly prompt limit, so I wasn’t able to have it generate a catchy opening. Just kidding… Or am I?
Today's AI spotlights:
Tesla plans rollout of end-to-end AI 🚗
The fate of AI is in TSMC’s hands 🤲

🚗 TESLA PLANS ROLLOUT OF END-TO-END AI
Guess who changed his mind? Yep, it's Papa Elon, back at it again.
This time, he's decided Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) package needs some AI lovin' in its Beta v12.
FSD Beta is already quite the smarty-pants, using neural nets and AI to perceive its environment.
But when it comes to decision-making and driving, Tesla was like "Nah, regular programming is cool."
Well, not anymore, folks.
Elon now thinks it's time to upgrade that bad boy with end-to-end AI.
He teased us about the FSD Beta v12 update that'll make your Tesla more AI-infused than ever.
Musk's tweet: "Arguably, v11.4 should be v12.0... v12 is reserved for when FSD is end-to-end AI."
No word on when this marvel will arrive, but v11.4 is already expanding beyond Tesla's inner circle.
Elon says "full autonomy" is coming this year, but let's be honest, who knows what he really means by that?
So, buckle up and prepare for the AI takeover, one Tesla update at a time.
🤲 THE FATE OF AI IS IN TSMC’S HANDS
What if we told you that the future of AI depends on a single facility in a war-threatened zone?
Welcome to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC). They basically make every advanced AI chip known to human.
As put by Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang: "There is air—and TSMC."
Trouble is, they're smack dab between Taiwan and China, where increasing tensions may be building towards conflict.
So, our AI ecosystem could be paralyzed in a heartbeat. 😖
Ok, enough doom and gloom; let's talk chips.
Chipmaking is all about specialization, and TSMC is the champ. They build chips for everyone, from Nvidia to Apple.
With no credible alternatives, we're all stuck depending on TSMC.
And their location? Yeah, that's certainly an issue.
Lose TSMC, and the global tech ecosystem would take a massive hit…

🔦 GOOGLE WORKSPACE, MEET BARD
Despite its notorious past, it appears that Google Bard is (mostly) ready to mingle with Workspace users.
Don't worry, chaperones: there's still a waitlist to keep things under control.
Tested alongside Bing and ChatGPT, Bard's creative flair left a mark...and we don't mean in the positive sense.
Let's see if Google I/O brings improvements along.
Regardless, Bard can now lend its talents to Workspace users via personal Google Accounts.
Both admins and end users will feel the impact. For example, the former will be able to control who gets access to Bard within their group
Just remember: early access apps' core services are off by default. Better safe than sorry, right?
Regional availability is still a work in progress. If Bard isn't in your country yet, stay patient – good things come to those who wait.
