Stephen King, the acclaimed "King of Horror" himself, is fully aware that AI's been schooling itself on his novels (along with a large portion of the internet).
Still, the author spends much of his time wondering: can machines truly master storytelling? Sure, they can digest thousands of books, but can they replicate those unexpected twists that even authors don't see coming?
King’s verdict on AI poetry is that it generally looks good, but always lacks soul. Regardless, while he believes genuine creativity comes from sentience, he's not ruling out the possibility for an AI takeover one day.
For now, King's crown is safe in the literary kingdom.

The EU's recent Digital Services Act (DSA) is supposed to bring the hammer down on Big Tech. And don't get us wrong, it does include some stringent measure.
But in reality, they might be secretly fist-bumping instead.
