Microsoft's CEO, Satya Nadella, is making his voice heard in Google’s antitrust case. Unsurprisingly, he's siding with the Justice Department on this one.
He claimed that even with cutting-edge AI, it's hard to challenge Google’s search monopoly (which has especially been strengthened by default agreements like with Apple's Safari). Nadella feels Microsoft's trapped in a cycle where Google's majority marketshare lets them continually refine search and grow profits.
The CEO also said he had hoped that tools like ChatGPT could disrupt the search industry. However, that has yet to come to fruition.
Clearly, Google's search monopoly is alive and well. The only question that remains is whether or not it will incur the government's wrath anytime soon.

Looks like Spotify is throwing AI into the mix more and more these days...
After introducing AI features like DJing and podcast translations, they're now eyeing AI-generated playlists. Tech expert Chris Messina spotted code references to this new feature, hinting at playlists created from users' prompts.
While Spotify remains tight-lipped about it all, some past endeavors like Niche mixes suggest a trajectory towards enhanced AI personalization. Although these mixes aren't AI-driven, they would probably pair well with the tech…
Regardless, Spotify’s growing focus on personalization and ML makes it clear that AI is becoming central to their strategy.

Chatbots like OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google’s Bard are already helping folks with brainstorming startup ideas or devising marketing plans.
Steve Blank, tech and entrepeneur OG, says that starting a business in a year will be totally different than it is now. One of the biggest drivers of this will be AI's ability to spot unmet needs efficiently.
But remember: while AI might be great at detecting patterns, innovation will still be a game for humans.
