Ok, we know it's been a crazy ride...but it looks we finally have some clarity on the Altman situation.
The beloved AI visionary is back in the driver's seat at OpenAI. And wouldn’t you believe it, he may actually have more control than before.
But what about that crazy board, you ask?
Now they have a new one, chaired by Salesforce's ex-co-CEO Bret Taylor and featuring big names like Larry Summers. Some say it's all for show, and Altman's power is unchecked.
Given all of the publicity (as if they needed it), OpenAI now has all eyes on them. How will they fare with the added pressure?

Stability AI is going all out...literally!
They just launched Stable Video Diffusion, an “open source” application for turning images into videos.
They've got two models, SVD and SVD-XT, each with its own capabilities. Still, there are limitations like no slow pans or text rendering.
Currently, the product is in a "research preview" phase with strict usage terms. As a result, the term "open source" only partially applies, given that parties who want access to the code have to agree to certain terms.
Regardless, it's a step in the right direction! Now, the company just has to figure out how to outgrow that $1 billion valuation...
