The US government started off slow on the AI train; however, it's been catching up slowly but surelyā¦
Now, the NSA's launching an AI security center. Itās housed in the Cybersecurity Collaboration Center, a hub against threats, particularly from China and Russia.
āAI helps us,ā says General Nakasone, "but our decisions are [still] made by humans." The move follows studies flagging AI security as a national challenge.
Itās a focal point for sure, working with industries and academia while keeping AI in check. And even though Gen. Nakasone is stepping down, the missionās clearly just booting up.

Sure, every tech company is out there is flaunting their latest AI vision...but did you expect the ECB to as well?!
That's right. The European Central Bankās various AI-solutions to tackle inflation and big-bank oversight.
Theyāre testing the waters with nine projects. The goal is to streamline data, simplify communication, and enhance decision-making.
Specifically, AI's aiding in structuring real-time price data and aiming for accurate inflation analysis. But, decisions, especially interest rate ones, are staying human (for now...)
Itās clear that AIās not the ECBās usual dance partner; but theyāre learning the steps as quickly as they can. Balancing innovation with ethics, theyāre keen to keep it modern while dodging possible mishaps.

š¤ AI FUNDRAISING WRAP UP
OpenAI: Chances are you donāt need much of an intro for this powerhouseā¦theyāre considering a sale of some of their shares, a move that could elevate the company's valuation from $29 billion to a range of $80 billion to $90 billion.
Looking back to earlier this year, OpenAI secured over $300 million in funding from investors including Sequoia Capital and Andreessen Horowitz. And that didnāt even include an earlier investment from Microsoft, which was reportedly around $10 billion.
Mythos Ventures: This VC firm just secured $14 million for its inaugural fund aimed at investing in revolutionary AI companies. Backers include Metaplanet, Delphi Ventures, and The Operating Group, as well as individual investors such as Phil Black of True Ventures and Walter Kortschak of Summit Partners.
Founded by Vishal Maini, Mythos Ventures is an early-stage VC company focusing on investing in prosocial technologies amid the transformative AI era. Theyāre committing $100k - $1M to pre-seed and seed-stage companies and aim to support founders who are developing safe AI systems.
Nexusflow: This California-based startup has revealed a $10.6 million seed round funding that recently took place. The investment was spearheaded by Point72 Ventures and saw contributions from Fusion Fund and numerous AI experts in Silicon Valley.
Nexusflow is responsible for creating a cybersecurity copilot that can help companies leverage AI in the everlasting battle to secure their products and infrastructure. It was founded by Jiantao Jiao, an assistant professor at UC Berkeley.
