Nvidia's out here flexing big-time! They're dropping the GH200 super chip next year, which is essentially their H100 GPU on steroids with triple the memory.
Look, if you're in the AI game, this is huge. Current systems sometimes have to split models among several GPUs because of the sheer power these complex AI tasks require.
And with Nvidia pretty much dominating the AI GPU landscape (even giants like AWS, Azure, and Google are all in on their H100), this GH200 is set to push the boundaries even further.
Wonder how AMD feels about this with their own AI GPU launch around the corner? Oh, and if you're thinking price tag? The predecessor’s a cool $40,000. Cha-ching!

Disney's diving headfirst into the AI pool, creating an AI task force to explore its wild potentials across the vast empire of theme parks, films, and a "next-gen" ad system.

Tensions are still simmering in Hollywood as writers and actors strike, fearing AI's existential threat. But forget fear! Disney sees the future and ain't riskin' obsolescence.

A lot of people are gunning for AI jobs at hot startups like OpenAI. But don’t overlook the AI jobs at companies like Disney. They have a 161 billion $ market cap, and have adapted to change over the past 100 years.

Nvidia's GPUs as loan collateral? That sure is a new one.
Yes, we're not kidding. CoreWeave secured a $2.3B loan using them.
Why aren't they just going with cash? Well, we can speculate on a number of reasons. Chief among them is the likelihood in them rising in value in the coming years.
Another reason is that CoreWeave started as Ethereum miners, so they have many GPUs to spare.
Regardless, the company is looking at a solid revenue boost: last year’s $30M has the potential to become $2B by 2024.
Nvidia, itself one of the company's backers, seems to favor the startup over competitors like Google.
AI Careers Takeaway:
I think this story shows how much demand there is at the hardware level in AI. Over these next few years, working at an AI company lower in the tech stack (Chip companies, LLM research companies) could be very lucrative.

Soon enough, that may be how we view AI.
So how exactly is this "new magic" of ours affecting the corporate world?
Well for one, the design of organizations is changing. Greater adaptability to AI tools is becoming paramount.
We're also seeing soft skills gain prominence. And, perhaps most notably, managerial roles are evolving.
As a result, we might see flatter structures, wider managerial spans, and quicker decision-making.
What should our takeaway from all of this be? Perhaps that it's not the technology itself that's worrisome, but more so the hands that control it.
