NEWS

You may've noticed some nice action with $NVDA today. Well, it surely wasn't a coincidence...

Nvidia's just announced their new HGX H200 chip, a souped-up successor to the sought-after H100.

It's a significant upgrade, boasting 1.4x more memory bandwidth and 1.8x more capacity. It uses cutting-edge HBM3e memory and fits easily into existing H100 setups.

However, snagging one might be as tough as finding a golden ticket – they're set to release in Q2 2024 amidst ongoing H100 scarcity. And pricing? Still unknown.

As the AI world clamors for more H100s, Nvidia's new release could either ease the GPU hunt or add fuel to the fire.

Google's taking scammers to court...the ones riding the Bard hype train, that is.

Picture this: a band of scammers based out of Vietnam, setting up fake ads and social pages, baiting folks with a phony "unpublished" version of Google's Bard. But surprise, it's malware! Classic, right?

Amongst other things, Google's lawsuit is attempting to unmask these villains who've been misusing Google trademarks. They've already hit the red button on about 300 takedown requests.

Their message? Play dirty with our tech, and we'll see you in court. It's a tale as old as time, and one that is now moving into the AI-age.

How to Maximize Your Research

These days, it’s getting more and more common for the phrase “Why don’t you go Google that?” to be replaced with “Why are you asking me? Go ask ChatGPT!”

While this is great advice indeed, getting the most out of your LLM-research assistant takes some practice. But don’t worry: we’re here to give you a cheat sheet for it!

Step 1: Establishing a Broad Overview

Start by asking ChatGPT general questions about your topic. Why don’t we use “the history of pizza” as our subject. (After all, who doesn’t love pizza?)

Prompt: “Assume the role of a historian who has extensive knowledge about the history of pizza. What is the history of pizza?”

Purpose: This will provide a broad overview, laying a foundation for more detailed research.

Step 2: Diving into Specifics

Ok, we have our broad overview…now it’s time to dig in further.

Prompt: “How did pizza evolve in Italy before it became popular worldwide?” OR “Please discuss how the history of pizza relates to it’s adoption in the United States and abroad.”

Purpose: This is where the fun begins! Here, you can start to get into the nitty gritty so as to understand your subject material as fully as possible.

Step 3: Exploring Related Topics

Imagine this part as trees that branch off and create their own networks, a chain of rabbit holes that lead further and further into new lands, or whatever metaphor you fancy most.

Prompt: “What has been the cultural impact of pizza in different countries?” OR “How has the perception of pizza changed in the 21st century?”

Purpose: Context is everything. Learning about related material that overlaps with the original content is paramount to understanding latter.

But remember: don’t let this part make your head spin! Keep good notes as you traverse what become a dizzying amount of material.

Step 4: Critical Analysis and Counterchecking

Fact-checking ChatGPT (or any research one does) is crucial for success.

Prompt: “Can you provide me with sources that substantiate this fact?”

Purpose: While LLMs are amazing tools, they’re not always right. Part of using them for research means cross-referencing any information that they provide.

Step 5: Organizing and Synthesizing Information

Once you feel that you’ve got enough information at your fingertips, it’s time to organize and extrapolate.

Prompt: “Can you summarize the key points on the history and evolution of pizza?”

Purpose: What’s the point of doing that research if you have nothing to show for it? This key step allows your to present your findings in a cohesive and easy-to-understand way.
