MosaicML, an open-source LLM provider, drops their most advanced models yet: the MPT-30B Base, Instruct, and Chat.

They've trained these bad boys on NVIDIA’s H100 accelerators, promising even better quality than GPT-3. What's more, MPT-30B makes generative AI more accessible, keeping data privacy and security intact.

Since their launch in May 2023, these models have boomed with over 3.3 million downloads.

Companies like Replit, Scatter Lab, and Navan are already reaping the benefits with improved code quality, multilingual AI chat models, and virtual travel agents, respectively.

With this release, MosaicML's pushing the envelope, making generative AI business-friendly while keeping costs low and data control high.

💶 NVIDIA LOOKS TO INVEST IN EUROPE

Nvidia, the world's most valuable chipmaker, is contemplating a European investment.

CEO Jensen Huang sees expansion into Europe as a promising step towards Nvidia's vision of being a global entity.

Nvidia's success story, boasting a whopping $1 trillion valuation, mirrors the AI boom. It's basically driven by:

Data, Algorithms, and Raw computing power.

EU's tech chief Thierry Breton acknowledges Nvidia's crucial role in providing the computing power that fuels AI.

This expansion also aligns with Nvidia's global counterparts, like Intel, who are also eyeing the European Union.

💻 HOW WILL AI EFFECT IT JOBS?

Generative AI is a pretty big deal — even Bill Gates is says it's the "most important" tech advancement in 40 years.

Well, according to Unearth Insight, this AI could impact 1% of India's 5.4 million-strong IT workforce while generating an extra $2-3 billion of revenue.

It's the sales and support folks who will see the biggest change — with about 50k to 60k employees impacted over the next three to five years.

It's not just doom and gloom, though.

Jobs aren't disappearing, they're just evolving. Expect AI co-pilots for lead generation and AI-curated sales content.
