The industry giant has threatened to cut access from Bing's search index off from two rival search engines. The threat is in response to them using the index to help their AI chatbots operate.

This might seem benign on the surface, but the data is technically licensed by Microsoft. The index itself serves as a map of the internet.

Therefore, using the search index this way breaches the terms of the customers' contract with Microsoft.

As everyone knows, AI chatbots have become quite popular over the past few months.

With many customers using the index to feed them data, this move may have dire consequences.

So why risk waking the sleeping the giant?

Well, indexing the entire internet is expensive. It's much less costly to use Microsoft's data as oppose to reinventing the wheel.

🔦 GPT4 TO THE RESCUE

Yes, you read that correctly. GPT4 is already beating veterinarians at their own game.

This past Saturday, Cooper used ChatGPT’s latest iteration to analyze his ailing pet’s blood tests results. This was a last-ditch effort after his vet had run out of ideas as to why Cooper’s dog was dying.

The chatbot’s results did not disappoint.

After all was said and done, GPT4’s diagnosis of IMHA was spot on. Cooper’s dog is now almost fully recovered.

In Cooper’s own words: “I can't imagine what medical diagnostics will look like 20 years from now.”
