Hey there AI aficionados,
Buckle up, it's time to plug into the matrix and catch up on all things AI!
Today's AI spotlights:
Microsoft Build isn’t holding back on AI 🏗️
Spotify is launching AI-generated ads🎙
Solana integrates AI into its blockchain 🔗
🏗️ MICROSOFT BUILD ISN’T HOLDING BACK ON AI

Get your spreadsheets out folks, because Microsoft Build 2023 is here with more AI than your average sci-fi novel.
Let's take a look at some highlights:
Windows 11 is getting an AI Copilot
Microsoft 365 Copilot now supports plug-ins
Microsoft Edge will soon come with a 365 Copilot integration
Windows Terminal gets an AI upgrade
Bing is now ChatGPT’s default search experience
Microsoft Fabric launches this week
Ok, let's break some of that down.
Microsoft's Windows 11 is getting a new buddy, Copilot, which will live in your taskbar. This taskmaster does it all - summarizing text, adjusting settings, you name it.
So how long do users have to wait? It’ll be public next month.
Other Windows 11 updates include Bluetooth LE support, adding 10 new languages in live captions, and some fancy RGB controls.
Microsoft Edge is getting chummy with the 365 Copilot, too. That sidebar will do more heavy lifting than a CrossFit enthusiast, helping you draft emails, add spreadsheet data and generate status updates.
Windows Terminal isn’t missing out on the AI party either. It'll now have a permanent assistant via an upgrade with a GitHub Copilot chatbot. This is akin to having a mini AI coding oracle right in your terminal.
We can expect more announcements through the final day of Microsoft Build (this Thursday).
🎙 SPOTIFY IS LAUNCHING AI-GENERATED ADS
Podcasters, get ready for your world to be turned upside down...
Spotify is reportedly working on some AI advancements that involve mimicking podcast host voices. According to The Ringer's Bill Simmons, the streaming giant is developing AI technology specifically to use for ads.
For some, this new functionality could offer an array of advantages, such as geo-targeted advertising and multilingual capabilities.
The new functionality will leverage IP from Spotify's 2022 acquisition, Sonatic. And while human-like AI voices aren't new to the tech world, Spotify's initiative is notable for its focus on copying specific podcast host voices.
Who knows, it could revolutionize the advertising landscape within the podcast industry. Although, the biggest question remains: Will Spotify stop at just using it for ads? Or will we soon see entire podcasts generated by AI?
🔗 SOLANA INTEGRATES AI INTO ITS BLOCKCHAIN
Solana's gone full Skynet, folks. They've shoved AI into their blockchain, thanks to a neat little ChatGPT plugin, courtesy of Solana Labs. Go on, give it a whirl, it's on Github.
The plugin makes buying NFTs, transferring tokens, and finding hidden treasures in Solana's DeFi realm as easy as pressing a button.
Solana’s co-founder, Anatoly Yakovenko, said all app developers should be knee-deep in AI, because computers need telling what to do. Kind of like my dog, but less drooling.
And there's more. Solana's Foundation is tossing around a cool $10 million for an AI grants program. It's raining nerdy dollars, people. So go explore those machine learning use cases with Solana protocols.
Finally, they've launched an accelerator for university students. Picture a bunch of geniuses in a room, experimenting with blockchain and AI. I can already see them asking Solana U chatbot for help with their homework.
