Meta just dropped a bomb on AI startups by open-sourcing LLaMA 2, their badass language model that's ready to take on GPT-4.
This game-changing move was revealed at Microsoft's Inspire event, where they flaunted their "growing" partnership. With LLaMA 2, businesses, startups, and researchers can now dive into a treasure trove of AI tools for FREE.
Trained on a whopping 40% more data than LLaMA 1, this beast outperforms rivals like Falcon and MPT in reasoning, coding, proficiency, and knowledge tests.
Safety and transparency are their top priorities, having subjected LLaMA 2 to intense red-teaming and evaluation.
Buckle up, folks! LLaMA 2 is already making waves on Microsoft Azure, AWS, and more.
Microsoft's AI-powered Bing Chat is getting down to business.
The new Bing Chat Enterprise ensures your data stays private - no training AI models on sensitive info here.
Why is this a concern? It's not secret that companies are nervous about letting confidential data loose. Fo example, Apple and the likes restricted use of tools like OpenAI’s ChatGPT and GitHub’s Copilot.
Bing Chat Enterprise is basically Bing Chat, but with a business suit on. Expect similar functions plus new ones like Visual Search, which will answer questions about uploaded images.
All this is for a small price of $5 per user per month (which is currently 1/4 the price of access to ChatGPT-4).
AI's about to shake up the world of outsourced coding in India, says Stability AI CEO Emad Mostaque.
His claim? That most of these coders will be out of jobs within two years. This is due to AI models (akin to "talented grads"), their ability to code, and potentially do it better.
Mostaque suggests AI 'co-pilots' will replace classical programming, but leaves us questioning - where does this leave the humans?
Looks like this transition won't be universal though, as he thinks that France's developers will stay employed (although, notably, he omitted an explanation as to why).
All in all, Mostaque previously called "no programmers in five years", and it sounds like he's sticking to that prediction.
