Learning is like breathing - we do it everyday without thinking. That doesn’t mean we have to accept this mindless, unfocused state though.

What if you consciously thought about the information you’re consuming? What about, instead of just reading this newsletter, you really learn from it?

Mindstone isn’t about adding something else to your todo list. We help unlock your brilliance. (With the help of AI of course 😉)

NEWS

Google's got a spicy little secret cookin' in its labs, my friends!

Meet Genesis, the AI wunderkind, ready to whip up news stories faster than a sous-chef on espresso.

With top publications like The New York Times and The Washington Post on its pitch list, Genesis is aiming to rock the media world.

But hold your horses, some big shots ain't too thrilled.

They reckon this AI-assisted journalism could leave their hard-earned credibility in the lurch. Yet, Google insists it's all about giving journalists more time to shine.

So, will Genesis be the holy grail of newsrooms or the Pandora's box of misinformation? Only time will tell!

NEWS

Chipmaker startup Cerebras Systems is stepping up.

It's building nine AI supercomputers in partnership with Abu Dhabi. This has the possibility of creating alternatives to Nvidia tech.

The first one, Condor Galaxy 1, is live in Santa Clara.

This move is a strategic chess play by the UAE to push deeper into next-gen tech through firm G42. The supercomputers will be used for the firm's projects, but any extra capacity will be up for grabs via commercial opportunities.

It's clear that Cerebras believes in breaking barriers. Between massive chips, new offerings, and specially built computers...they might just have a chance.

NEWS

NYC subways are pulling out all the stops when it comes to fare evasion.

They're using AI as their new sidekick. And so far, it's working! They’ve spotted people skipping fares in several subway stations as a result.

So how often does this sort of thing happen? Enough to cost the MTA $690 million to fare evasion last year.

The system, provided by Spanish firm AWAAIT, doesn't rat evaders out to the police...yet.

But privacy advocates are worried - many think that New York is slowly but surely gaining Big Brother-like status.

This begs the question: are fare evaders the problem, or is it the system itself?
