Dropbox is undergoing a major overhaul, both in terms of UX and AI…

The heavy-weight file storage company is introducing a whole new web interface for improved usability, along with (drum roll please), Dash. This AI-powered universal search tool is entering open beta as we type.

Now, you're probably thinking, "What does file storage have to do with search?" Just think Google, except for all your personal files.

Other products include Dropbox AI, capable of answering questions about your content. And for the video enthusiasts, there's Dropbox Studio, an all-in-one collaboration tool set to release in alpha.

One look at these announcements and it's clear as day: Dropbox is fully embracing the AI revolution.

Adobe's taking us back...wayyy back, when 300+ PPI (pixels per inch) was a distant dream.

They're rolling out "Project Res-Up", which is designed to refresh old videos & GIFs using AI.

For example, it transformed a 1947 film clip and enhanced the pixel count by 675%! With that and overall sharper features, it basically made it look brand new. It's also capable of making low-res elephant footage clearer with added skin wrinkles.

And let’s not forget: most importantly, we can now revamp those OG memes! Exciting stuff indeed.

Overview:

BrainBox AI is all about figuring out how to help companies fight climate change. They’re doing this by employing deep learning, cloud computing, and their very own, unique method to facilitate buildings that operate autonomously.

The Montreal-based startup was founded in 2017 by Sean Neely and Jean-Simon Venne.

The Challenge They Tackle:

Commercial structures contribute significantly to worldwide GHG emissions. BrainBox Ai’s self-operating decarbonization approach targets these emissions by monitoring, diminishing, and compensating for them. This helps building owners on their paths to achieve net zero and carbon-neutral statuses.

And while we certainly love any endeavor that helps our planet, it also saves businesses on energy costs! Hard to argue with a solution like that.
