Apple, the tech titan, is cooking up its own AI arsenal to take on heavy hitters like OpenAI and Google!

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports they've built a chatbot internally dubbed "Apple GPT" and crafted their slick framework "Ajax" on Google Cloud!

Impressive moves, but the release plan's still under wraps. Rumor has it; they'll drop a massive AI bombshell next year!

Initially stalled by security worries, the chatbot's now getting VIP access to more Apple employees, but shhhโ€”it's top-secret stuff!

It's like Bard, ChatGPT, and Bing AI, with a dash of that unique Apple magic. Stay tuned!

ChatGPT is slipping up...

A new study suggests the chatbot's skills are deteriorating. Stanford and UC Berkeley researchers tested the bot's math, coding, and reasoning chops.

The results? Its score on a math challenge of determining prime numbers, dropped from 97.6% in March to just 2.4% in June. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

So how did this happen?

Well, OpenAI may have shot itself in the foot by tweaking the model for safety. As a result, the chatbot's proficiency is suffering.

"Cheaper and faster" model replacements could also be to blame. These mechanisms may be faster, but competency is clearly taking a hit.

Perhaps AI isn't immune to the effects of aging after all.

๐Ÿ‘จโ€โš–๏ธ US JUDGE LIKELY TO DISMISS ARTISTSโ€™ LAWSUIT

What keeps AI-centric companies up at night these days? Many things, chief among them being IP rights.

Well, they can start to breathe a sigh of relief.

U.S. District Judge Orrick is skeptical about a lawsuit from artists against generative AI firms.

He said that he would likely dismiss these cases due to artists needing to make their case clearer. That being said, he would allow them to file another complaint.

Stability AI, Midjourney, and DeviantArt are the ones in the hot seat. Their tech allegedly "scraped" images to train their AI, which artists aren't happy about. But Orrick isn't sure who exactly is infringing what.

Whatever the outcome, these events already have implications for the AI industry. Will legal precedent be set here for the US?
