It's no secret, everyone in the software development industry has been screaming doom n' gloom for prospective coders. (See story above)
But not to fret! IEEE Spectrum is here with some tips on how programers can get themselves ready for the AI revolution
So what are the top tips? Stick to basics - problem solving and software engineering.
In other words: use AI as your assistant, not your replacement.
Choosing the right AI tool for your needs is key. And clear communication with these AI tools? Essential.
Lastly, be critical and understand the risks. Check generated code, be wary of security, copyright, and proprietary code issues.
Remember, AI is a tool. Use it right, and the potential is limitless.
OpenAI, that big-brain AI company slurping up $13B of Microsoft's money, just pulled the plug on ChatGPT's "Browse with Bing".
The reason? It's been acting like Robin Hood, bypassing paywalls and privacy settings to serve up full URLs to its ChatGPT Plus users.
Now they're on a mission to "do right by content owners". But here's the kicker: there are still GPT-4 plugins that offer the same browsing capability.
So paying customers are left asking, "what exactly am I paying for here?" OpenAI promises to bring back the feature, but as for when? Your guess is as good as mine.
