  • Dropbox goes all in on AI 📦

  • The US and India join forces on AI and defense 🤝

🐦 Tweet of the day:

🚨 100,000+ CHATGPT ACCOUNTS HAVE BEEN BREACHED!

Over 100k ChatGPT account credentials, including some dating back to the bot's June 2022 launch, were dumped on the dark web.

Cybersecurity company Group-IB warns this is an ongoing event. Most credentials were nabbed by the Raccoon malware, with Vidar and RedLine trailing behind.

But, it's not just personal data—business plans, app development, and even proprietary code stored in ChatGPT chats are up for grabs. It's a full-blown informational heist!

Protect yourself—install trusted plugins, use robust passwords, enable 2FA, and follow cybersecurity best practices. Stay vigilant, folks.

Dropbox is making a capital-play at the AI game. How much you ask?

They're devoting a $50M fund to back AI-focused startups.

Aptly named Dropbox Ventures, it aims to nurture AI-powered products for the future of work.

They're also rolling out new AI features like Dropbox Dash – a search bar that pulls info from various platforms - and Dropbox AI, which summarizes files in your account.

The folks at Dropbox see a massive potential for personalized AI and believe they are uniquely positioned to provide an organizational layer in the cloud world.

The US and India are exploring broad-based alliances across various sectors.

Prime Minister Modi's recent state visit set deals in motion on AI, defense and technology.

These collaborations aim at

  • Deepening defense ties

  • Diversifying supply chains

  • Boosting technological advancements.

As a result, Applied Materials is planning to build a new semiconductor center in India. The strategy of "friend-shoring" positions India as a crucial partner over China.

Space collaboration is also on the horizon with NASA and the Indian Space Research Organization.

Overall, the US is keen on attracting more Indian talent, underscoring the human element in this strategic partnership.
